SPAGHETTI DIAGRAMS

Spaghetti diagrams are a common tool used to visualise, document and analyse the distance travelled by people, information and materials during or in between the various operations of a process.

During lean & continuous improvement activities, spaghetti diagrams are often used to identify sources of motion / transportation waste that can be addressed in order to improve work flow, reduce footprint, promote safer work environments and more.

These diagrams are often used during workshops and / or in conjunction with other analysis tools in order to establish the current state of a process and to build a picture of the future / target / ideal state.
